For gardeners, landscapers and tree surgeons
Get your garden business recommended by AI
Gardening work is local and seasonal: hedges in summer, leaves and tidy-ups in autumn, patios and new lawns in spring. Some homeowners now ask an AI assistant who to call, and the answer usually names only a few people. Here is what tends to decide whether yours is one of them, and what you can check yourself.
The check is free. Paid help has fixed prices: the full audit is £395 + VAT, one-off (pilot £195 + VAT for our first 5 clients). See all prices.
Questions customers ask AI
Typical examples of what people type or say to an AI assistant when they need a gardener or landscaper:
- “Who can cut back a tall hedge in [your town] this month?”
- “Can you recommend a landscaper near me who lays patios?”
- “Is there a regular gardener in [your town] for fortnightly maintenance?”
- “Who removes garden waste after a big tidy-up near me?”
What AI assistants tend to look at
- Your Google Business Profile with the right main category (gardener, landscaper or tree service), each type of job listed in plain words (maintenance, hedge cutting, patios, fencing, turfing, garden clearance) and the villages and towns you cover.
- Photos of your own finished work with a short note of the job and the area. Landscaping in particular is bought on proof, and real detail gives AI assistants something accurate to say.
- Whether you take green waste away, and if you do, your waste carrier registration (in England this is with the Environment Agency; Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland have their own regulators). Customers increasingly ask, and it is a genuine sign you run things properly.
- Seasonal information that is kept up to date: when you are booking maintenance rounds, when you take on landscaping projects, and whether you are taking new regular customers.
- Reviews that mention the job and the place, such as "new patio and turf in [village], left spotless". You cannot write them, but you can ask every customer.
What a good answer looks like
Example only: fictional town and businesses
Who lays patios and new lawns in Puddlecombe?
Local garden firms that mention patios and turfing include:
Barrow & Bloom Landscapes: patios, turfing and fencing, photos of recent projects, registered waste carrier, covers Puddlecombe and nearby villages.
Hedgehog Garden Care: regular maintenance and hedge cutting.
The firm named first says exactly which jobs it does, where, and backs it up with photos and specific reviews.
What we don't promise
We never guarantee a place in an AI answer. AI assistants decide for themselves, and nobody can promise what they will say. What we sell is careful checking, real fixes and honest measurement.
Four things you can do this week
- Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity two or three of the questions above, with your own town. Ask each more than once, because answers change.
- Write down who gets named instead of you. Look at their Google profile and website: which jobs and villages do they name that you do not?
- Add a few photos of recent jobs to your Google profile, each with a short description of the work and the area.
- Ask the customers from your last five jobs for a review that says what you did and where.

Rather we looked for you?
Start with the free check: we ask ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini questions like the ones above about your business and email you what they said. Four tiny steps; your details come last.
Step 1 of 4: Your trade

What you get
- A handful of real customer-style questions about your trade and area, put to ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
- A plain-English summary by email: were you named, and who was named instead.
- An honest view on whether a full audit is worth it for you. Sometimes it is not, and we will say so.
Questions
My work is mostly regular maintenance rounds. Is this worth doing?
Yes, especially when you have space for new customers. People moving into an area often ask an assistant for a regular gardener, and a clear profile that says you take on new rounds, and where, makes it easier to match you.
Do I need to mention a waste carrier registration?
If you take customers’ garden waste away, you are generally expected to be registered, and it is worth saying so. If you do not remove waste, say that instead so customers know what to expect.
Should I post seasonal updates?
Short, honest updates on your Google profile (for example, when you are booking autumn tidy-ups) keep your information current. Do not invent offers or deadlines.
Can you guarantee AI will recommend my garden business?
No. Nobody honestly can. We check where you stand, fix what is likely holding you back and measure again.
