For driving instructors and driving schools
Get your driving school recommended by AI
Learners, and often their parents, are exactly the people who ask an AI assistant for help: "who teaches automatic near me?", "who can do an intensive course before my test?". The answer usually names a few instructors. Here is what tends to decide whether you are one of them, and what you can check yourself.
The check is free. Paid help has fixed prices: the full audit is £395 + VAT, one-off (pilot £195 + VAT for our first 5 clients). See all prices.
Questions customers ask AI
Typical examples of what people type or say to an AI assistant when they need a driving instructor:
- “Who teaches automatic driving lessons in [your town]?”
- “Can you recommend a patient driving instructor near me for a nervous learner?”
- “Is there an intensive driving course in [your town] before my test date?”
- “Which instructors near me offer motorway lessons after passing?”
What AI assistants tend to look at
- Your Google Business Profile with the right category, the lesson types you really offer (manual, automatic, intensive, refresher, motorway, Pass Plus) and the areas and test centres you cover.
- Your status stated accurately: a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) or a trainee instructor, matching what DVSA records show. If you are listed on the GOV.UK find-a-driving-instructor service, your details there should match your website and profile.
- What learners and parents ask before booking, answered in plain words: car type (manual or automatic), lesson length, whether you pick up from home, school or work, and whether you teach nervous drivers.
- How pricing and block bookings work. You do not have to publish prices, but explaining how you charge answers one of the first questions people ask.
- Reviews that say what you helped with and where, such as "automatic lessons in [town], passed first time at [test centre]". Only real reviews; never write them yourself or ask for them in return for a discount.
What a good answer looks like
Example only: fictional town and businesses
Who teaches automatic driving lessons in Puddlecombe?
Instructors who mention automatic lessons in the area include:
Clutchless Cathy’s Driving School: automatic lessons, approved driving instructor, patient with nervous learners, pick-ups across Puddlecombe, intensive courses available.
Gearstick Gary: manual lessons, weekends.
The instructor named first states exactly what the learner asked about, automatic, nervous drivers and pick-up area, in plain words.
What we don't promise
We never guarantee a place in an AI answer. AI assistants decide for themselves, and nobody can promise what they will say. What we sell is careful checking, real fixes and honest measurement.
Four things you can do this week
- Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity two or three of the questions above, with your own town. Ask each more than once, because answers change.
- Write down which instructors or driving schools get named instead of you. Note whether they are local instructors or national schools.
- Check your Google Business Profile lists manual or automatic, each lesson type you offer and the areas you pick up from.
- Ask your last five pupils who passed for a review that mentions the lesson type and the area.

Rather we looked for you?
Start with the free check: we ask ChatGPT and Google’s Gemini questions like the ones above about your business and email you what they said. Four tiny steps; your details come last.
Step 1 of 4: Your trade

What you get
- A handful of real customer-style questions about your trade and area, put to ChatGPT and Google's Gemini.
- A plain-English summary by email: were you named, and who was named instead.
- An honest view on whether a full audit is worth it for you. Sometimes it is not, and we will say so.
Questions
I mostly get pupils by word of mouth. Why bother?
Word of mouth is still how most people choose, and AI assistants are becoming part of it. When a parent asks an assistant to double-check a name they were given, clear and consistent details help them find the right you.
Should I say I am a trainee instructor?
Yes, if that is your current status. Be accurate about it everywhere. Describing yourself as fully qualified when you are not would be misleading, and DVSA records can be checked.
Do pass rates help?
Only publish figures you can stand behind and explain. We will never invent or estimate a pass rate for you, and we cannot say how any assistant weighs one.
Can you guarantee AI will recommend my driving school?
No. Nobody honestly can. We check where you stand, fix what is likely holding you back and measure again.
