For roofers and roofing contractors
Get your roofing business recommended by AI
A leak after a storm, a few slipped tiles, a flat roof that needs replacing: some people now ask an AI assistant who to call before they search. The answer usually names a handful of roofers. Here is what tends to decide whether yours is one of them, and what you can check yourself.
The check is free. Paid help has fixed prices: the full audit is £395 + VAT, one-off (pilot £195 + VAT for our first 5 clients). See all prices.
Questions customers ask AI
Typical examples of what people type or say to an AI assistant when they need a roofer:
- “Who can fix a leaking roof in [your town] quickly?”
- “Is there a roofer near me who repairs storm damage and slipped tiles?”
- “Who replaces flat roofs in [your town]?”
- “Can anyone near me repair a chimney and the flashing around it?”
What AI assistants tend to look at
- Your Google Business Profile: a roofing main category, every job you really do listed (repairs, flat roofs, chimneys, guttering), the towns you cover, and whether you take urgent repairs.
- A page on your website for each main job, saying which towns you cover, with photos of your own work rather than stock pictures.
- Reviews that mention the job and the place, such as "fixed our storm-damaged roof in [town]". You cannot write them, but you can ask every happy customer.
- Any trade association or council-backed trader scheme you genuinely belong to: named on your website and matching that scheme's own member search.
- The same business name, area and phone number everywhere: your website, Google, Facebook and any trade directories you use.
What a good answer looks like
Example only: fictional town and businesses
Who can fix storm damage on a roof in Puddlecombe?
Roofers that mention storm repairs locally include:
Slatehaven Roofing: storm damage, slipped tiles and flat roofs, covers Puddlecombe and nearby villages, photos of recent jobs.
Ridgetop Roofers: chimney and guttering work.
The roofer named first says exactly which jobs it does and where, in more than one place.
What we don't promise
We never guarantee a place in an AI answer. AI assistants decide for themselves, and nobody can promise what they will say. What we sell is careful checking, real fixes and honest measurement.
Four things you can do this week
- Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity two or three of the questions above, with your own town. Ask each more than once, because answers change.
- Write down which roofers get named instead of you, and what their Google profiles and websites say that yours do not.
- Check your Google Business Profile lists each roofing job you want, in plain words, and the towns you cover.
- Ask your last five happy customers for a review that mentions the job they had done.

Questions
Do photos of my own jobs help?
They help customers trust you, and they make your profile and website more complete. We cannot say how much any single AI assistant weighs photos, so treat them as one part of a clear, consistent picture of your business.
Should I list urgent or storm repairs separately?
If it is work you want and can really take on, yes. Say it plainly on your Google profile and your website, with the areas you cover, so people and AI assistants can match you to the question.
Can you guarantee ChatGPT will recommend my roofing business?
No, and be wary of anyone who does. AI assistants decide for themselves. We check where you stand, fix what is likely holding you back and measure again.
