For cafés, pubs and restaurants
Get your café or restaurant recommended by AI
Questions like "where is good for brunch near me?" are now asked of AI assistants as well as search engines and map apps. The answer usually names a handful of places. Here is what tends to decide whether yours is one of them.
The check is free. Paid help has fixed prices: the full audit is £395 + VAT, one-off (pilot £195 + VAT for our first 5 clients). See all prices.
Questions customers ask AI
Typical examples of what people type or say to an AI assistant when they need cafés and restaurants:
- “Where is good for brunch in [your town] with vegan options?”
- “Is there a dog-friendly pub that does food near me?”
- “Somewhere quiet in [your town] for a coffee and a bit of laptop work?”
- “Best place for a Sunday roast in [your town]?”
What AI assistants tend to look at
- Your Google Business Profile: the right category (Café, Restaurant, Pub), up-to-date opening hours including bank holidays, and the attributes people ask about, such as dog-friendly, outdoor seating or step-free access.
- Your menu as real text on your website, not only a photo or PDF, so it can be read. Say "vegan", "gluten-free" or "kids' menu" in words if you offer them.
- Reviews that mention dishes and occasions ("great Sunday roast", "lovely for a work coffee"). Ask happy customers; never offer anything in return for a good review.
- Your food hygiene rating listing: check the business name and address on the Food Standards Agency site match everywhere else.
- Consistent details on the listing and booking sites you already use, so every source tells the same story.
What a good answer looks like
Example only: fictional town and businesses
Any cosy cafés in Puddlecombe with good vegan cake?
Places people mention for that include:
The Crumb Tin Café: vegan and gluten-free cakes listed on its menu, dog-friendly, open Sundays.
Puddlecombe Tea Rooms: traditional cream teas.
The café named first lists the things the person asked about (vegan, dog-friendly, Sunday hours) in words, where they can be read.
What we don't promise
We never guarantee a place in an AI answer. AI assistants decide for themselves, and nobody can promise what they will say. What we sell is careful checking, real fixes and honest measurement.
Four things you can do this week
- Ask ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions above for your own town, more than once each.
- Note which places are named and what their Google profiles say: attributes, photos, menus, hours.
- Put your menu on your website as text, with dietary options in plain words.
- Fill in every Google Business Profile attribute that is true for you.

Questions
Does my menu really need to be on my website?
If it is only a photo or a PDF, people and AI assistants may struggle to read it. A simple text menu, kept up to date, is one of the easiest fixes for a café or restaurant.
We are already on map apps and booking sites. Is that enough?
Those listings help, especially if they are complete and consistent. AI assistants draw on several sources, so your own website and Google profile still matter.
Can you guarantee AI will recommend us?
No. Nobody honestly can. We check where you stand, fix what is likely holding you back and measure again.
